万阔教授，北京协和医院口腔科行政副主任，北京协和医院国际医疗部无痛牙科治疗中心主任，中国协和医科大学教授，硕士研究生导师。 中华口腔镇静镇痛专业委员会侯任主任委员，北京口腔医学会口腔镇静镇痛专业委员会主任委员，北京口腔医学会牙体牙髓专业委员会常务委员，中央保健专家组成员。 万阔教授1993年毕业于北京大学口腔医学院，在中国协和医科大学获得口腔内科硕士学位，2010年在美国波士顿Tufts大学牙学院做访问学者。 万阔教授是中国国内较早在口腔镇静镇痛、无痛舒适化口腔治疗和牙科恐惧症诊疗等领域开展工作的学者之一，特别是他于2003年建立了中国国内首个专门治疗牙科恐惧症的医疗机构——北京协和医院无痛牙科治疗中心。中心建立十年以来，万阔教授带领其团队，开展了大量的临床工作，教学工作和科学研究：开展了包括行为管理、笑气吸入、口服药物、静脉给药、全身麻醉等多途径的口腔镇静镇痛治疗，切实解决了一大批对口腔治疗存在畏惧心理的病患的迫切需求。连续举办6届国家级继续教育培训，推广无痛镇静技术，培养了一大批在此领域的临床业务骨干。发表20余篇科研论文，SCI收录3篇，参与编撰、翻译学术专著和诊疗规范多部，承担2项科研课题，多次应邀在国内大型学术会议上发言、授课、讲座。 Prof. Kuo Wan was born in Jilin Province, north-east China in 1970. After receiving his B.D.S degree in School of Stomatology, Peking University in 1993, he began his resident training in Department of Dentistry, Peking Union Medical College Hospital. From 1993 to 1999, he received training in endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, oral medicine, dental emergency and oral&maxillofacial surgery. In 2000, he was promoted as attending doctor of endodontics. After finishing his research "evaluation of shaping effects of 4 different endodontic instruments by Micro-CT", he received his M.D.S degree in Graduate School of Peking Union Medical College in 2000. In the same year, he began to use laughing gas in management of dental fear patients. In 2003, with the financial support of the Young Researcher's Fund of PUMCH, he established the first medical unit dealing with dental fear in China----Painless Dental Treatment Center of PUMCH. In 2007, Kuo Wan was promoted as associate professor. In 2008, he was appointed deputy director of Department of Dentistry. In 2009 and 2010, he visited Upenn, Tufts University, University of South California, American Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia and Sedation in Dentistry (ASAASD), received training in dental sedation and pain management. He and Prof. Guo-Liang Zhang, a dental anesthetist, published the first textbook about dental sedation in China. In 2010, he sponsored the first national CE in China about diagnose and management of dental fear. From 2009, Prof. Kuo Wan attended many academic meetings and gave lectures all over China to introduce dental fear and sedation. Prof. Kuo Wan is professor of Endodontology, postgraduate tutor , Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), member of Chinese Stomatological Association and Chinese Association for the Study of Pain.
